Doctrinal Foundation  ACT 3 is rooted in the ecumenical confessions and creeds of the earliest Christian churches (e.g., Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, Athanasian Creed). The ministry is also firmly committed to the Scriptures as the authoritative Word of God and in essential agreement with the confessional standards of Reformed Christianity. The conviction of the ministry is that genuine spiritual awakening, of the kind seen in the First Great Awakening in America, wedded to the doctrinal convictions of ancient-future Christian faith and practice, is needed in this generation.
